How It Works
We pull our rates straight from institutional forex feeds and what you see are mid-market rates.. basically the halfway point between what buyers want to pay and what sellers are asking for. Gives you a proper honest picture of where a currency actually sits.
Our system collects fresh data every 60 seconds during active forex market hours (Sunday 22:00 GMT to Friday 22:00 GMT). When markets close for the weekend, we show the last available rates from Friday's close until trading resumes.
Your bank or whoever you’re transferring through will always stick their own margin on top plus fees and whatever else they can get away with.. so the number you actually end up with comes in a bit lower than what shows here. But at least you can see where the real market rate sits before they take their cut, and you’re not going in blind.
Our Mission
Currency stuff shouldn’t be complicated and it definitely shouldn’t be sat behind a paywall.. everyone needs to check a rate now and then whether its for a holiday, or running invoices through for work, or just curious about what the pounds doing against the euro. Pretty basic information really.
Thats why we built EuroRate UK.. we wanted a converter that just gives you the actual numbers without hard selling you something, or burying the real rate under a load of marketing waffle. Live data from the markets, updates all the time, costs nothing to use. Simple as that.
